The jungle mating rituals continued today when Cerys Matthews was awoken early in the morning by Marc Bannerman sitting on the side of her bed discussing the stars.
"Come and look at them from my bed," he said, creeping into hers and wrapping his arm around her shoulder protectively.
Cerys then decided that she needed a wee, so Marc checked her boots for her, as Cerys praised his gentlemanly ways.
Later, they had a conversation about their ages, Marc suggesting that Cerys is younger than him by some years. A fast and furious game of compliment ping-pong then ensued: Cerys told Marc she was in fact older, Marc told Cerys that she's looking good, and then Cerys told Marc that he's not too bad himself.
Cerys then asked Marc if he could do a South African accent; he replied in a rather convincing one, then asked why she wanted to know. "Because it really does something to me," she grinned.
The two teams united today, and this caused some tension in the camp. Cerys even had a little weep about it, saying "I've had a really special time... I don't want it to change." Marc gave her a comforting hug and reminded her "we've still got it though, haven't we?"
She cheered up later, though, when Lynne started doing her bizarre earth goddess dances, much to everyone's amusement; while Marc and Rodney tried to hold in their giggles, Cerys and Katie palled up for a not-so-secret chuckle together.
More of Cerys' adventures in the jungle at the same time tomorrow. Nightie night!
