We're looking for people to write and translate for Welsh Bands Weekly. If you'd like to get involved, read on...
Welsh Bands Weekly's team is ever-expanding and we would love to hear from anyone who'd like to write reviews and interviews or help out with the translation of new articles for the site. Unfortunately we can't pay you for your work, but there are other things we can do to make it up to you. As soon as you're accepted onto the team, we'll set you up with a WBW email address (yourname@welshbandsweekly.com) - these are strictly 'staff only' so you'll be one of just a few people to have one. You'll get to keep anything we send you to review, so if you volunteer for lots of reviewing you could end up with a hefty CD collection that hasn't cost you a penny. We may occasionally be able to arrange gig tickets, though we can't guarantee this. If you're interested in pursuing a career in music journalism and want to build up your portfolio, writing for Welsh Bands Weekly will give you plenty of opportunities to do so. What's more, your personal profile page on welshbandsweekly.com is a great place to promote yourself and link out to all the articles you've written for us and any other websites. There are a few terms and conditions you should bear in mind before applying to join the Welsh Bands Weekly team:
If you'd like to join the Welsh Bands Weekly team as a writer or translator (or both), please send an email to iawncont@welshbandsweekly.com with a few details about yourself and any relevant experience you've had (don't worry if you haven't had any - there's a first time for everything). If possible, we'd like to see some examples of your writing - please attach these or provide links if your work is online. |
